SETH THOMAS QUARTZ TIDE CLOCK » SPRITE II TIME & TIDE « USA (1980)

                                             powered by a 1.5 Volt AA-Cell

Living on the Pacific Coast, a TIDE-Clock may be useful.
The 4th hand ( acrylic with a red tip ) shows the actual TIDE:
... FALLING HALF TIDE... LOW TIDE... RISING HALF TIDE... HIGH TIDE...

The clock has an aluminum housing. There is a round opening in the
back side to adjust time & tide by fingers - but to exchange battery,
the back side has to be unscrewed.

HISTORICAL REMARKS see SETH THOMAS CLOCK

               !!! BIG SURPRISE !!!
!!! "Clock-Tides" are not valid for US-West-Coast / California !!!
see TIDE-CHARTS at https://www.usharbors.com ...

for MONTEREY / CA. (= West Coast ) ...

... and the TIDE-CHART for BOSTON / MA. (= East Coast )...

The East-Coast has a 12 Hour-Pattern, fitting to "Clock-Gears" -
!!! BUT West-Coast has a different pattern !!!

EXPLANATION by GOOGLE ...
Tides on the East and West Coasts of the USA differ primarily due to
variations in coastal geography and the way the tidal bulges interact
with the landmasses. The East Coast generally experiences semidiurnal
tides (two high and two low tides per day), while the West Coast often
experiences mixed semidiurnal tides with unequal high and low tides.
These differences are further influenced by the shape of the coastline,
the depth of the ocean, and local weather patterns.
