TRIPLE BEAM BALANCE SCALE OHAUS, Florham Park, NJ / USA (1980)
********************************************************************
Scale-1 = 0 ... 500 g ; Scale-2 = 0 .. 100 g ; Scale-3 = 0 .. 10 g
This METRIC » Precision-Scale « weights here a souvenir:
A can of "BERLINER LUFT" = 28.9 Gram
This OHAUS SCALE is the classic weighing instrument used in science
laboratories all over the world. Magnetically damped; 610 g capacity
0.1 g sensitivity; die cast aluminum body w. 3 aluminum alloy beams
with sliding weights. Capacity is expandable to 2610 g with a weight
set, attachable to the hooks at the end of the beam.
                    HOW MECHANICAL SCALES WORK ...
?? What is the "Extension-Weight-Set" for an additional + 1 kg ??
====================================================================
EXPERIMENT:
                 150 g Extension-Weight represents 500 g WEIGHT
             2 x 150 g - " - SET -"- 1000 g WEIGHT
             4 x 150 g - " - -"- -"- 2000 g WEIGHT
For example: MADE AN EXTENSION-WEIGHT-SET OUT OF WASHERS ...
   2 x 500 g WEIGHTS are in balance with the 2 x 150 g EXTENSION-SET.
- When not used, it rests in the groove of the OHAUS under the beam.
If the + 2 kg Weight-Capacity is needed: Make Extension-Weights with
hooks on both sides to be chainable - Think in its limited height!
