"ANTIQUE" DIAL-PHONE =R=F=T= / VEB Fernmeldewerk Nordhausen / GDR (1984)

This "ANTIQUE" Telephone, made in 1984 in East-Germany, is a R E P L I C A
of the German Telephone Model »W19« from 1919. The cover is made of (heavy)
plastic, the metal parts are "real" - A GOOD LOOKING EYES CATCHER !!!

On PIN 2 was the GREY WIRE connected, but N O T INSIDE THE TELEPHONE !!! =R=F=T= (= "Rundfunk- und Fernmelde-Technik" ) was the L O G O of the association of different manufacturers in the field of communication technology in the former ( East- ) "German Democratic Republic" (= GDR ). Leitung fuer ANRUFER blockiert: Anrufer erhielt immer "Besetzt-Zeichen"

Geraet ist "Schmuckstueck" - Aber das mechanische Design ist fragwuerdig:
Die Platine mit Gabel-Umschalter (= GU) hat keine eigene Befestigung !!!
Nach Reparatur ist die GU-Platine VON UNTEN (in rechter Hand gehalten) in
das (mit Links gehaltene) AUFRECHTE Gehaeuse einzusetzen - damit GU-Metall-
Buegel in richtiger Lage verbleibt. ANSCHLIESSEND: Geraet UMDREHEN und
(zwischen den Knien haltend) ... BEVOR die Grund-Platte mit Glocken einge-
setzt wird, EINEN SCHAUMSTOFF-BLOCK ca.( 3x3x1 cm3 ) zwischen EINER Glocke
(wg. Daempfung !) und der GU-Platine plazieren! Dieser gibt der GU-Platine
definierte Lage relativ zur Gabel-Umschaltung. Die gesamte Prozedur ist
kompliziert: Alle Kabel und Grundplatte sind gleichzeitig zu balancieren!
