HOW TO OPEN THE AMERICAN ADDING MACHINE

(A) Bottom Side:
----------------
(1st) Remove the 2 SCREWS on the bottom
(2nd) Slide out the "LOCK-SHEETS"
(B) Top:
--------
(3rd) Remove the right CRANK
(4th) Remove MAIN- & REPEAT-HANDLE
(5th) Pull-out the 7 INPUT-LEVERS
(6th) Lift the COVER
R E M A R K S :

This AMERICAN ADDING MACHINE came "worn-out", not working right. The
photo above is taken after hours removing 100 years of accumulated dust,
cleaning, benting back gears & levers, oiling, restoring display wheels,
... The simple repaired MAIN-HANDLE is now replaced with a better one.
The dented FEET-HOLDERS had to be removed to straiten the bent socket of
the machine. Its broken RUBBER FEET had to be replaced by 4 FELT-PADS.
More brittle "METAL TONGUES" broke away in this procedure ...

... Now the FEET-HOLDERS are fixed with reisin glue.
