R E M A R K S :
==================================================================
This "TREASURE" was found in an AntiqueShop "AS IS" - NOT WORKING!
Someone had tried a repair - BUT made it worse: Wrong bent parts,
wrong assembled gears, wrong placed hands - OhOh ! - DAYS of work:
1st) UNDERSTANDING its design + 2nd) RESTORE its original setting.
Because of its "wear + tear", the inner FRICTIONS became relevant!

»NANO-OIL« application and POLISHING all "Glider-Surfaces" of the
"Programming-Gears / Sensor-Guides", there was an improvement ...
AN E X P E R I M E N T : The CIRCULAR (Aluminum) PENDULUM NEEDS
MORE MASS ??? Added 2 x 2 = 4 NAILS ... This INERTIA overcome the
"Stopping-Points" - WOW - That was it !!!
L A S T S T E P : The RIGHT WEIGHT was a WASHER ...
Fine-Tuning with the Mini-Weight-Pair: 60 SWINGS in ~ 48.5 SECONDS

Remarks to S Y N C H R O N I Z A T I O N ...
------------------------------------------------------------------
Pictures show state of the clock at 3:13 => prepared for 1/4 Chime
------------------------------------------------------------------
o "X"-Mark on HAC should be seen, when QCC is in shown position
 o QCC controls the Quarter-Chiming:
    - Shown position: After Bell-Count, before ...
    - 1st-Quarter-Chime (= next, turns clockwise) is shortest ...
    - 2nd-Quarter is longer ...
    - 3rd-Quarter is longer ...
    - 4th-Quarter longest with "NOSE" to trigger the BELL-COUNT
 o C1 ( connected with the SMALL HAND ) ...
o BEHIND C1 (not visible in picture) is a "4-Prong-Star-Wheel"
    - Its SQUARE-AXLE holds the BIG HAND in Position ...
    - EACH PRONG lift the "Chime-Preparation-Lever" ...
    - The ONE LONGER PRONG activates the "Bell-Preparation" too

R E M A R K : Neither Chiming nor Bell-Count are triggert direct
from clock-work. There is a "PREPARATION-STATE" involved in
order to transfer the forces !!!

o Set the BIG HAND so on its SQUARE-AXLE, when, at FULL HOUR ...
    - the BELL-COUNT is triggert ...
    - the SENSOR-PIN fall on the C1-EDGE ...
    - and adjust C1 so, that it fall in the middle of the edge
( May be C1 needs to be lifted and reset 1 tooth beside ?)
o Loose & fix the SMALL HAND to the appropriate C1-HOUR
      ( Top=1; Low=12; STATUS = 13 minutes after 3 Bells done )

REMARK: Changing CLOCK-MOUNTING for a user-friendlier Maintenance
==================================================================
When removing HANDS & FACE ...
There is another OBSTACLE: A
BLACK PLATE covers the Front-
Mechanics !!!

Removing this plate, let the
clock in an unoperable status!

When mounting the 4 screws
( former holding the plate )
in REVERSE DIRECTION WITH THE
CLOCK-BODY on the 2 vertical
studs, than the clock is in
working condition and both
sides are accessible!

Now CONNECT FACE & BLACK PLATE
(as original) with its 4 Mini-
Screws & 4 Distance-Rings as a
S I N G L E UNIT. It can be
placed with its 4 OPEN HOLES
on the REVERSED SCREW-WINDINGS
and than hold in place by 4
BIG PAPERCLIPS on the 2 STUDS
...
