QUELLE  WORLD-TIME-CLOCK  REPAIR
(1st)  MOTOR  in  2008

View into the open World Clock:
The MOTOR was diagnosed as defect ...

... Left the ESCAPEMENT - right the TIMER;

View at the TIMER-CONTACTS ...

The disassembled motor
(after cleaning the soot-blackened parts)
shows the burned away lower contact pair ...

... The REPLACEMENT is made of bronze and soldered in ...

... Now assembled, the WORLD CLOCK is working again - WOW! ...

... BUT:
(2nd) TIMER-GEAR BROKEN  in  2022

see DIAGRAM »Zahnraeder« in Chapter "Proportional Divider (Part 2) ..."
( KK=KopfKreis ;  FK=FussKreis ;  TK= TeilKreis ;  n=ZaehneZahl )
KK = 19.75 mm Ø ;  FK ~ 18.0 mm Ø ;  TK = D ~ 18.9 mm Ø ;  n = 64
Modul = D/n = 0.30

... NOW WHAT ??? SAME DEFECT found in 2nd QUELLE WORLD CLOCK !!!

" T H A N K S ! " to Prof.Dr.-Ing. Michael Schmidt, Berlin: He made
a "2D"-BRASS-GEAR (left) ... to glue-in the "CENTRAL-GEAR" (= right)

R E M A R K S :   The BLUE PLASTIC RING defines the "Down-Position".
ONE SPOKE had to be removed, to "give way" for the SPRING's ROD with
a glued 270° SHEET-SEGMENT, necessary for its CONTACT-SYNCHRONIZATION

YAHOOO !!! The QUELLE World-Time-Clock is working again !!!

Back to the QUELLE WORLD CLOCK ...
