( 17 cm x 19 cm ) NITTON CLOCK CO. / Japan (1975)

The world map is shown in "North Polar Projection". MEZ (= Berlin)
is on top. This "tic-tac" clock has a "balanced spring" mechanic.
A battery powered motor winds up the main spring every 8 minutes.

Detail: Part of the clockwork is a mechanical timer, which
------- activates the electrical contact to power the motor.
The contacts are simple and have to be cleaned every quarter.

The CLOCK WORK is the same as in the QUELLE WORLD CLOCK ...
... but the REPRESENTATION is different:

o Rotating ACRYLIC DISC shows 0...24 HOURS ( Berlin on top !)
o The SINGLE HAND shows the ACTUAL 0 ... 60 MINUTES
o The RED JET PLANE is the SECOND INDICATOR
o COUNTRY PREFIXES of SHORT WAVE AMATEUR RADIO STATIONS,
     eg.: DJ,DL,DM = Germany; W = USA; ZL = NewZeeland ...
... in GREEN on the periphery

Have a closer look to its tasty design ...
