In addition to usual problems like rust, dents, cracks, broken or missing
springs, clogged and bent levers, etc., the restoration of this »MODEL-1«
was especially hard: Some tooth-wheels of the gear-unit in the body between
coding and arithmetic unit (in the carrier) had broken teeth...

But, luckily, there was a "donator": The tooth-wheels had the same size as
the ones in the "NewerMod.1" which was destroyed in 2003 on its flight to Germany
by "Airport-Security" in SanFrancisco or Paris Airports.

In a difficult micro-manipulation procedure the broken tooth-wheels were
replaced by the few good ones from the "NewerMod.1" gearing. For a broken
tooth-wheel in the carrier there was no replacement - But...

This problem was solved by combining 5 single teeth (taken from broken
tooth-wheels, see sketch) to form the missing tooth with its 10s-carry-stud.
These were glued together with 2-component-glue...

A T T E N T I O N :   When re-assembling the case,
the 2 LOWER-FRONT-SCREWS (right & left) ARE  S H O R T E R  !!!
( not to touch the inner "Trip-Lever" )

The broken POWER CABLE could be fixed too: The unique (female) plug
was cut, rewired with a new cable, and all set in a modified film box.
Insulated with filled-in component-glue, the box-cap was placed finally...
