LIGHT/EXPOSURE METER WESTON ELEC.INST.CORP., Newark, NJ / USA (1960) ************************************************************************ Model = 737 SN = 1233177 Scale-1 = 0 .. 50 ; Scale-2 = 0 .. 1600 The nice die-cast aluminum instrument was for professional photographers and came in a double-sided leather carrier. It is a SELENIUM CELL LIGHT METER which needs NO BATTERY. When exposed to light the cell generates an electrical current directly proportional to the amount of light upon it. This in turn, activates a needle, which moves across a CALIBRATED SCALE (based on "Candles per Square-Foot"), indicating various settings of shutter speed & aperture. In BRIGHT LIGHT a FILTER-FLAP has to cover the cell on the back side, reading the SCALE-2 on front. - In LOW LIGHT conditions this flap has to be opened, this changes to SCALE-1 on front. impressum: ************************************************************************ © C.HAMANN http://public.BHT-Berlin.de/hamann 01/07/12 |
