HOW TO MAKE AN EXTERNAL TRANSFORMER FOR THE   »PRINCESS«  TELEPHONE

The left picture shows the original transformer, plugged into the
outlet - and held in place with a clip.

Right picture:  Because  the transformer is not a special item,  it
is easy  to make this device by yourself.  In flea markets you will
find a  6 Volt  POWER SUPPLY.  OPEN IT!  If it is for  6 VDC,  than
the rectifier board may be removed. Connect the telephone cables as
shown in this WIRE DIAGRAM ...

  

In use you will discover the nice invention ...
When the "Night Light"-Switch is OFF,  the dial is  illuminated  as
soon as the hand set is lifted. When the "Night Light"-Switch is ON
the light  is dimmed with  a resistor when the hand set is in  rest
position. Lifting the hand set short-cuts the resistor and the dial
is fully illuminated.
