Published in GDR(East-)Germany in 1967, this excellent book was used in all
          Technical Universities - also in (West-)Germany ...

On p.819, fig.4.35 there is another »W61« wire diagram given ...


                                  ... let us name this the »W61X« Diagram

As a student of the Technische Universitaet Berlin (West), I was puzzling
about this »W61X«:  When the telephone is "HANG-UP" there is a CONNECTION
of its MICROPHONE to the INCOMMING WIRES between G(AS5) & b(AS2) ??? This
condition makes it possible for voices in the room to be heared remotely!

This  »W61X«-DIAGRAM  in mind, I was excited to find the  »W61«-TELEPHONE
in a Berlin flea-market. The telephone I bought, with its  »W61«-Diagram,
did not match the book's  »W61X«-Diagram ...

     ... BUT - The SPY-IDEA was realized in the 80's  =R=F=T= »ALPHA« ...
