Welcome to our Website "Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Study Courses"

Starting with the summer term 2004, a new lecture series, called
"Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Study Courses", will be offered as
an option in the "studium generale" at the "Beuth Hochschule
für Technik Berlin (formerly TFH Berlin)", the University of Applied
Science. This is a continuation of the exhibition "Hiroshima
Nagasaki 2001" of the TFH Berlin, started in February 2001.

The course title "Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Study Courses" was created by the mayor from the city of Hiroshima, Dr. Tadatoshi Akiba. In his Peace Declaration of 2001 here... Mr. Dr. Akiba appealed:
"... the City of Hiroshima is investing in the revitalization of peace education, in the broadest sense of that term. We are striving, in particular, to establish Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Study Courses in major universities around the world ..."

We, the initiators at the Beuth Hochschule für Technik in Berlin here..., are proud to be the first European university that had realized Dr. Akiba's appeal. Moreover, in the meantime we look back on more of 10 years in teaching successfully the Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Study Courses .
