This historic wooden model with its cardboard case is shown on
the booklet  » Einfuehrung in die Anwendung der NESTLER Rechen-
schieber RIETZ und DARMSTADT «  (40 p. with an introduction and
106 calculating exercises).  On the back side of the slide rule
is a table with physical constants.  The "R" refers to the 1/X,
RECIPROCAL SCALE. The "/3" on the CASE refers to 3 HAIRLINES on
the CURSOR.
