Back to the Typewriter Overview
based on the book of W.A.Beeching »Typewriter« (1974)

As a manufacturer of rifles and machine guns the ZBROJOVKA WORKS at
Brno, Czechoslovakia was founded 1918. 1932 under licence REMINGTON
typewriters were assembled. In 1945, after WWII, beside typewriters
machine tools, engines and car accessories were produced. Their own
designed typewriters were first called "ZETA" - later the following
versions were called "CONSUL" ...

This typewriter, found 2008 in a Berlin FleaMarket, had no indication
who had made it. I was touched by its elegant design and I could not
leave it behind ...
