How to come to Bonn

Photos & Videos

Welcome to Bonn!

Based on the structures, experiences and the competence from almost 50 years of governmental responsibility the city of Bonn (www.bonn.de) was destined for its new role as an international scientific and communication centre after 1990. UN organisations, federal ministries and subordinate authorities, development organisations and non-governmental organisations with international orientation constitute a strong network.

Bonn's historical centre is one of Germany's largest single pedestrian precincts with narrow, shop-lined alleyways, novel boutiques and elegant department stores. The various squares are boarded by cafes and pubs.

And Bonn is the gateway to the romantic Rhine valley: The nearby "Siebengebirge" a hilly wild-life reserve marks the start of this most impressive section of the river valley.
With a tradition going back almost 200 years, a student body numbering 30,000 and an excellent reputation at home and abroad, Bonn has one of the leading universities in Germany (www.uni-bonn.de). What's more the university is at home in a city and region where life has always been that little bit better.
So, welcome to Bonn! Enjoy the city at its best! A history of more than 2000 years has given the city most varied facets. Historical sights, highlights of art, picturesque impressions along the romantic Rhine, the international life or the political life of Bonn and much more.

The Symposium will take place at the University Club, Konviktstr. 9, 53113 Bonn, fon +49(0)228 72 96 106.
