WATERCOLORS - ISTANBUL, TURKEY

3 - 11 May 2002

This watercolor excursion brought Sara Hampe and myself to the ancient city of Constantinople. We concentrated mainly on the two large religious centers: the Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Mosque) and the Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya). We also portrayed a few of the characteristic wooden dwellings. A curator at the Haghia Sophia was especially helpful to us.
