Produced in » MASCHINENFABRIK G.F.GROSSER in MARKERSDORF «, the name "GROMA"
came from the owner's and town's letters. L.F.Pascher was the inventer of a
small typewriter. In 1934 GROMA bought the production rights and made
L.F.Pascher to its head. Because WWII, this small typewriter was never made,
but after WWII an improved »GROMINA« was launched. In 1954 the »KOLIBRI«
came on the market. This SlimLine Portables were a hit all over the world
because belonging to the smallest & lightest typewriters ever made.

Weight & Size of »KOLIBRI« & »GROMINA« are nearly equal - only inappropriate
H E A V Y   C A S E S   make a difference ...

» G R O M I N A «   vs.   H E R M E S  » B A B Y «
============================================================================
KOLIBRI = 3.2 kg  + CASE (= Cardboard & Plastic ) = 1.3 / 1.6 kg = OhOh!
          ======
Compare it with the competitor HERMES »BABY« - The KOLIBRI is lighter!
BUT with the CASE ( ~ 1/3 of all !) it is heavier on transport.
