Clear the Arithmetic:
---------------------
(1st) Pull & hold the right (outside) crank;
(2nd) Pull the MAIN-LEVER; Release the (outside) crank.
( ATTENTION:  The arithmetic  will be cleared  also after a ZERO INPUT !)

Enter & Add a Number:
---------------------
To enter a ( 7 DIGIT ) number,  it is supposed,  that the operator placed
his index finger on the figure desired  and  than placed the thumb on the
lever  directly below.  Then  lift the thumb  until it touches  the index
finger.  After enter all figures,  pull the  MAIN-LEVER to add the number
to the ( 8 DIGIT ) memory. Make sure to push back the MAIN-LEVER in full:
NOW (!) the 10s-CARRYs will be processed - and the input will be cleared.

Repeat a Number:
----------------
Enter the number.  Pull the left lever (= REPEAT-LEVER )  until it locks.
Pull the  MAIN-LEVER.  In the round window  left under the input-levers a
REPETITION-COUNTER   get  active  ( 0 .. 9 ).  Release  the  REPEAT-LEVER
b e f o r e   the last input.

Subtraction:
------------
Only  ADDITION is performed.  For SUBTRACTION 9-Complement "Addition" has
to be used.  ( For  DETAILS  see the INSTRUCTIONS to the  BURROUGHS ... )

             What is the MEANING of it  = ??? =  Just DECORATION

G U E S S :  May be it refers to making COIN-ROLLS to give to a bank ...

                 

                   40 x Quarters (= 25 ct) = 10 USD
                   50 x Dimes    (= 10 ct) =  5 USD
                   40 x Nickels  (=  5 ct) =  2 USD

         BUT:    { 50 x Pennies  (=  1 ct) = 50 ct } x2 = 1 USD   ???
