 (2) e.g.  »DIALGIZMO«  (= USA-Type !) used on GERMAN TELEKOM ...

     Plug the GERMAN TELEKOM LINE in the LEFT LOWER PLUG and ...
     ... plug the »DIALGIZMO« LINE-INPUT in the RIGHT LOWER PLUG

 (3) ... use BOTH MIDDLE PLUGS for ...
     (a) either   EXTENSION CABLE-LENGHT by combining 2 single Cables  
     (b)     or   CONVERT a Cable MALE-END into a FEMALE-PLUG
